The Fragrance Foundation

CRANBOURN® is a member of The Fragrance Foundation, a globally respected organisation dedicated to advancing understanding and appreciation of fragrance. As the industry’s educational arm, it supports excellence in perfumery through knowledge, craft, and cultural engagement.

In recognition of our approach, CRANBOURN® was selected to participate in the Fragrance Foundation’s NEXTGEN Programme, supporting emerging brands shaping the future of fragrance.

B Corp

CRANBOURN® joined the B Corporation movement in 2020 and became a fully accredited B Corp in 2021. This reflects our commitment to operating with equal consideration for social impact, environmental responsibility, and long-term business integrity.

B Corporations are independently assessed against rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability — providing a clear framework for responsible and sustainable business practice.

1% for the Planet

CRANBOURN® is a member of 1% for the Planet, committing at least one per cent of annual sales directly to environmental organisations. All contributions are independently verified, ensuring transparency and accountability in how funds are distributed.

Founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard of Patagonia and Craig Mathews of Blue-Ribbon Flies, 1% for the Planet was established to help businesses take responsibility for their environmental impact. More than two decades on, the organisation continues to support companies worldwide in translating commitment into measurable action — benefiting both the planet and future generations.

Ecologi

Ecologi exists to support businesses in accelerating climate action through tree planting, reforestation, and carbon reduction initiatives — an approach closely aligned with CRANBOURN®’s values.

Through Ecologi Zero, a carbon footprinting tool developed for small and medium-sized organisations, businesses can calculate operational emissions by analysing expenditure and activity data. This enables clearer identification of emission hotspots and more informed progress towards net-zero goals.

CRANBOURN® participates in the Ecologi SME programme to help reduce our operational carbon footprint and support verified tree planting and reforestation projects. Customers are also given the option to contribute to Ecologi initiatives at checkout, supporting tree planting or carbon capture as part of their purchase.

Cruelty-Free International – Leaping Bunny

CRANBOURN® is a member of the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme — the globally recognised standard for verified cruelty-free products. The Leaping Bunny mark provides clear assurance that products meet rigorous, independently audited criteria.

Established by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics, a group formed by leading animal protection organisations, the Leaping Bunny programme was created to help consumers identify genuinely cruelty-free cosmetic and household products with confidence.

Vegetarian Society

CRANBOURN® is a member of The Vegetarian Society, a national British charity dedicated to promoting informed and responsible vegetarian choices.

The Society licenses recognised trademarks to products that meet rigorous certification standards. Approved products are free from ingredients derived from animal testing, cruelty, or slaughter, contain no genetically modified materials, and are produced to prevent cross-contamination. The Vegetarian Society offers both vegetarian and vegan accreditations.

Virgin Partnership

Building a business can be both rewarding and demanding. It offers the opportunity to shape products with intent and share a clear vision with like-minded collaborators, while also requiring resilience during the early stages, when resources are limited and progress demands sustained commitment.

In its formative years, CRANBOURN® benefited from the support of the Virgin Step Up Programme, a partially funded European initiative designed to help founders scale their businesses. CRANBOURN® was subsequently selected for the Virgin Start Up Empower100 Programme, part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Today, this entrepreneurial mindset continues to shape the business. Our founders remain committed to innovation and actively engage with other founders, specialists, and organisations — sharing experience, insight, and expertise across their respective fields.

Better Business Act

The Better Business Act Coalition campaigns to reform UK company law, ensuring businesses align the interests of shareholders with the needs of society and the environment.

CRANBOURN® has joined the Better Business Act Coalition because this objective closely reflects our values and long-term vision.
